canadian t-shirt series, part 3; randy laybourne

if you know us, then you'll be familiar with mr. laybourne's playful sensibility.  he's done it again!  randy's created a t-shirt just for us and beautymark.  look closely and you'll see his critters along with vancouver's usual suspects...love it.

canadian t-shirt series, part 2: 'A is for Apples'...

nicole milkovich (aka 'Apples') is another one of our favourite and talented clients and when she came in sporting these 'i'm mitten with you' tees that she designed, we had to get some!

nicole is an artist/graphic designer with nick milkovich architects who is a "well-recognized design practice with an extensive catalogue of diverse projects. Established in 1991 in Vancouver, Canada, the firm emerged out of the reorganization of Arthur Erickson Architects. Having worked in collaboration with Arthur Erickson since 1968, founder and principal Nick Milkovich has set the firm to carry forward the design approach which has earned his mentor an eminent position in architectural practice."

and let me tell you, these t-shirts are an excellent reflection of nicole...
fun, spunky, clever and bold!

canadian t-shirt series, part 1: 'evokativ' tees...

we are so lucky, not only do we have amazing clients, but amazingly talented clients.  we've recently been stocked with some clever canadian tees.  we've been big fans of evoke international design's work for years now, and as part of their creative outlet, they've come up with a collection of 'evokativ' tshirts:

what makes them so special?  they say it best...

"Our Canadian Series attempts to stir emotional pride in the history and culture of this great wide land, beyond the usual patriotic jingoism of maple leafs, mounties and moose.

It's not about Canadians 'kicking ass'. It's about downing beers in your local bar and discussing the merits of a Prime Minister putting a choke hold on a protester. It's about watching hockey and telling the story of The Habs fan who tried to steal the Stanley Cup. It's about the yodeller who travelled the railways and became a star.

It's about who we are and what we do."

each t-shirt comes with its own story. pop in and get a lesson in our Canadian history

this should make you smile...

we just love everything these two very talented girls do! they both attended pratt institut in new york and have now their own design business. not bad for two 24 year olds!

Egg Pants have three stubby ″legs″ which will keep your breakfast eggs standing tall. The cups are white on the outside and yellow on the inside, just like the eggs they hold. While the material looks like ceramic, it is actually quite soft and flexible. The flexibility allows these little cups to stretch and give a perfect fit to all different sizes of eggs. a set of two sells for $24

Add a little fun to your house with these switchplate covers! They play tricks with your eyes. While the switchplates are only 3mm deep, their trippy shape makes them look like they’re popping inches off the wall. We have them in black and white and they sell for $12 each.

The Hookmaker teacup tile is a fun accent piece. It creates wall-mounted storage for small things, like keys and change, or hot-dish holders and spoons. It has a different use in every room! Tile several together for an even more dramatic effect. The hookmaker is $38.

Think you might have swine flu? One thing's for sure - you'll need somewhere to blow your nose. Complete with H1N1 embroidered monogram, this hanky makes a perfect gift for the hypochondriacs in your life. We have them in pink and black $34.

Wear the whole world around your neck! We call this necklace “World Links” because all of the continents are connected by links of chain. A symbol for unity if there ever was one. They are available in gold, silver and black and retail for $87 each. We are sold out right now but get them soon in again.

thank you!

a little late, but thank you so much to everyone for making it down for our event!  it was a great night and we really appreciate you coming to celebrate with us.
